Got the fever for a vintage travel trailer?  This site aims to be a “go to” source for information on vintage travel trailers so please bookmark it and come back often.  Thanks for visiting!

About

Hello and welcome to Vintage Trailer Fever!  If you are an owner, looking to own, or just love vintage travel trailers then this site is for you.  My name is Ted and I created this site because I love vintage travel trailers (even though I  currently do not own one myself).

Off and on for the past several years I have searched eBay and Craigslist and have found that when it comes to vintage travel trailers it can be very difficult to find exactly what you want.  Vintage trailers available for sale at any point in time vary greatly both in features and where they are physically located.  The features you are seeking such as trailer weight, sleeping capacity, and overall condition may not be available at the time of your search.  If you do find a vintage trailer that does meet your criteria it is highly likely it is far away from where you live.  Finally, even if you do find a vintage travel trailer for sale near you with everything you want you may find it is out of your price range.  Or, more often that perfect vintage travel trailer you do find is already sold!

Whether you are looking to purchase, looking to sell, or just admiring vintage travel trailers the aim of this site is to assist in making the process easier and more enjoyable.  Our goal is to be a “go-to” resource to help you find the information you are looking for when it comes to vintage travel trailers.  We hope you enjoy it – thanks for looking in!

Quality Considerations

Airstream turned my interests particularly to vintage trailer brands using all-aluminum, aircraft riveted construction. And that led me to my interest in all vintage travel trailers (even the non-all-aluminum brands). I became interested in travel trailers about 10 years ago when …

Airstream

It is fitting that the first blog post of Vintage Trailer Fever is about Airstream. My admiration of vintage travel trailers started with Airstream. The trailers are so well constructed that it is estimated that around 70 percent of all Airstreams ever produced are still on the road today. That is an incredible statistic! The …

Wanted

The date of this posting is 05/29/2017.  I am looking for a vintage travel trailer with the following specifications:

  • Dry trailer weight not more than 3,000 lbs.
  • Length of trailer not more than 20 ft.
  • Sleeping capacity of 4 people.
  • Condition of trailer should be very good to excellent.

That is about all I can think of right now.  It seems like the Aljo trailers from the 50’s and 60’s might be a good choice but I am open to all brands.  If you own such a travel trailer or know about one for sale please let me know.  You can contact me here.  Please put “Vintage Trailer” in the subject.  Thanks!!
